I'd need a wiring diagram to know for sure but as I recall it takes the same regulator as the RD350.
I make both the rectifiers and regulators for the RD350 and I'd need to see a wiring diagram to know for sure if I can help you with the RD200.

This is what I would do (so that should tell you something right there - lol). First, I'd go down to my local cycle emporium; better the one that handles supplies and gadgets for all kinds of machines rather than Yamaha Town, and ask for a universal aftermarket 4 wire 12V solid state regulator; there are plenty of units available and they probably have one. Peel off a $20.00 bill (that is what the last one I bought cost me), and follow the directions on the back of the package.
The modern solid states are as reliable as the Sun, and will never give up. You can get almost anything electrical for any Jap bike, if you find the right shop. 1 minute on the phone will tell you if there is a chance; if they have 'em, they know it, and if they start talking real fast and mumble things about Dealers and Vintage unobtanium don't waste your time. In Minneapolis Minnesota there is a place called Midwest Cycle Supply - they service all brands, have most anything you heart desires, and sold me the last one I bought; they even told me how to hook it up.
Happy customer, and enough change to buy the nifty replacement dipstick that changes color when I am out of oil and has the built in talking temperature gauge that speaks 14 languages!Sure it's gonna make some noise, there's GAS exploding in there!
