  • Rode an 87 Honda Hurricane 1000 today

    I guess it is an early CBR1000.

    50,000+ miles, looked like it had been beat to crap.

    But BOY did she fly. It definitely has a power band as well, where it's like a switch. This bike was just older and more worn out than the bandit 1200 I rode, but this bike felt like it had as much power.

    When comparing dyno charts, the Hurricane is no slouch on the horsepower:

    He was interested in selling it. I could probably snag it for $750. With some proper tuning and TLC, it could be a nice bike for flicking around.
