GS1100 steering Lock

I am having trouble unlocking my steering lock. I just got and the PO said that he never used the steering lock. by accident it got locked and the rear light is on but I cannot turn the key back to the left. Any help? I just got this bike and I need to ride it soon. Hopefully i will not need to remove the whole ign switch. Any help would be appreciated

Update: I took the ign switch off and It is definitally jammed. Is there a way to dissasemble it?
