  • How bout some pics of my triple!!!

Here are some pics of my $300 gem of a 1979 xs750sf triple. The pics don't lie, she is as pretty as they make her look. The yellow pipes seem to suggest she is a bit lean but she pulls hard all the way to redline so I just chalk it up to driving her on long trips. The milage is accurate so yes I do need to take some more long trips. Enjoy fellas. DJ (Oh yah click to enlarge)

    Nice

I had one of those back in '90, and it was a nice bike, just a little too short legged for my liking.
I'd say you got a great deal.

I think the 'yellow' pipes are running (slightly) rich. Blue pipes are lean. I have my E adjust (slightly) rich using a colortune and they are the same color as yours.

      Nice XSample of Tripledom.

Well Apparently the bike caught an electrical bug early in its life and was subsequently parked for about 17 years. Then the original owner sold it to his neighbor. That guy tinkered with it for a year or two before he sold it to me still not running. I went through the wiring and found a few bad grounds and that the fuse box needed to be replaced. After that everything was in good working order again and it would turn over and fire. I rebuilt the carbs petcocks and havent had a problem since. I guess I was just lucky. Thanks for the kind words.
