Hey David,
This IS the other bike FORUM, so posting about them is quite alright! Folks may have clicked on the links, looked, and possibly enjoyed it, but just didn't feel compelled to comment about it? You can see the counter of how many people actually viewed this thread when you see the Main Forum view!

Good reading, had to shut my office door so I would not get busted. Had a fondness for the Norton since my first "real" superbike was a 750 Combat Command, circa 1972, I still remember my first ride on a Mach III, an ill handling, crappy stopping bike thats only existence in life was to kill ANYTHING that had a motor in it between stoplights. Not sure why they bothered with the HD, I guess every multi-bike test has to have a loser. I was suprised to see the big 2-stroke Kaw take the honors, I guess Kaw hammered out the problems they had with the 500 version.
To bad Yamaha had nothing offer back then. I guess the engineers were still on the back porch talking about it, "hey, wada say we make a 4-cyl engine, make it spin backwards, give it a shaft drive AND make it the baddest thing on the road. I'm sure we could get it past the beancounters".When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger
