  • Yamaha Virago,Oil cooler-remote filter?

Has anyone ever installed a oil cooler or remote filter on a 84' Virago XV1000. There is a way you can drill the right side cover and tap it for remote lines,I just dont know where to drill to get into the propper oil passages. Just thought someone might have some information about this, If so let me know what ideas you got!!

    Check HERE .
I know I've seen the tech tip for it but I couldn't find it. It's there somewhere.
A member named Wendell had one on his XV920. Should be the same.

      oil remote

I have seen that J&P cycle has a remote kit for the Yamaha xvs1100, This is the v-star 1100. It looks like it would bolt on and match up perfect,I checked and they both use the same oil filter,I dont like the price. Its over $200. I think with some reverse engineering I could come up with something cheaper.
