      Ken,

I added some pictures to your post ! I like this type of bike, that is why I own a Bandit (and an XS Standard) The cruisers are so popular here that the dealer can't really stock any more bikes, half the new bikes you have to order as it is. There is also a new Suzuki we won't be getting either, very similar bike to the XJR.

      The GSX1400F

You and me both,,,In my post to the British folks I have inquired about modifications,,,it wouldn't be that difficult to my way of thinking, but you know the customs folks have different ideas, not to mention the EPA anal orifices,,. It always always boils down to maoiny anyway. We shall see, the GSX1400 I saw months ago and its evbery bit as cool as the Yamaha. Its heavier and makes around 100 horses. Buts its detuned as it the XJR, both can be "Hopped up" as the folks used to say where I come from. I know two German Equipment Engineers I have worked with over there and they tell me 160 horses out of either of these two bikes is realitively, like no problem,,,,,they are in there continuing quest for the ever elusive 300km/hr speed. Helmut the crazier one, owns four bandits and one of the 600's he has he claims makes 175 hp, he runs it one the Nurenburg ring twice a year, crazy Cat,,,,. He says he will buy one of these for me, lol, and hold it for me,,,,,nice guy,he says we americans are so deprived, of riding roads and bikes,,,,,. I have been on the roads over there and he is right about that. No interstate system but lots and lots of twisties everywhere.

          I LIKE that bike.

They said we would never get the FJR1300 either.

What's with this 300kmh thing anyway?

A guy nearby has ZX12R, a bit modified, 200HP on the rear wheel.... 345kmh of top(?) speed... bout a year ago measured with radar 311. Must have modified it some more since then.

The 300kmh thing is with a group of Germans I worked with over there that were trying to get this speed from their Bandit 600's, they were doing all kinds of stuff to go faster,,,it was interesting to watch.

The XJR and GSX1400F are both great looking bikes. Seemingly the closest successor to the XS. It's a shame they're not imported here (yet...). I don't care for the flip up tails though, looks too much like a sport bike. What's wrong with fenders?

YES, I agree Bob. What's wrong with fenders? My only gripe about looks of the "nakeds."

I concur, it would be great to see the rear ends of these bikes smoothed out and real fenders added,,,,,I really think they could sell many of them,,,I know I would be in there for one. But maybe not,,obviously the manufacturers don't think so,,,they think we all want V-Twins.

                              Vtwins

Vtwins is what I was referring to above, not these real nice continuations of what we all are riding.
