Looks good, wonder if Fischer will be at the show in January?

    Question:

Can a 90-degree V-twin actually spin 12,000 RPM and stay in one piece?

Wow, nice to see an American company getting into the market. Good looking bike, for sure. I absolutely love the hidden exaust look thats showing up on the crotch rockets these days.

They need to get the HP up if they want to compete with Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki "at the track". Their bikes in the 600 class are pushing over 100, and getting better every year. It is awful light and torquey though, maybe that will make up the difference.

That tank would be like a spear to the belly, too.

At least, to my belly. It's a good thing I don't ride crotch rockets.

        American mc

One of the magazines that I get had an article on this bike. Yea, it's assembled in Maryland, but the motor (Hyosung motor) is from China. But the total package still looks pretty good.

              Price!!!

$7995 thats what's kind of cool about it. Not a bad price for a bike that will be putting Americans to work!! our Jap bikes are great but it would be nice to see some more American made bikes. I know the engines are foreign but what U.S. branded company does not have foreign content in their products. HD does,Ford does,GM,does and Dodge is not even American owned anymore,So do they still count as American?? I hope this company takes off and we see Fischer Motorcycles at our dealers one day!!

A 90 degree twin is in perfect primary balance as #1 is at TDC (stopped) the #2 is at max acceleration. This is how Ducati does it amoung others the Suzuki SV series. Suzuki SVS is the main competition not the GSX-R600, CBR600 or the R6. I'll bet this bike handles great right out of the box. Fisher started out to race in Moto GP with a 990 cc motor but now the FIM has change the formula to 800 cc. For a start-up company that's got to hurt in the bank account. If he's good and also lucky he may end up like Eric Buell if not ... well there has been many that tried to compete with the already established brands. I like the idea and also have looked at and sat (not ridden) on the Hyosong GT 650 from which the engine is sourced. As stated it's Korean and they (the Koreans) do pretty well in cars so why not motorcycles as well? It's just a matter of time to get it right, and the Asians are a quick study. Fisher has an extensive roadracing racing background and is an Architect by profession. I lke it.
                All good luck to him.

OK.. leave it to me to be the odd one here, but I don't care for it. From the tank forward, it looks great, but it seems like they were running out of time and money for the back end. The split tail would look OK from the exact side where you couldn't see down into it, and the license plate/turn signal holder looks like something my father-in-law would build. Everything he makes works fine, but looks like crap. He is a master with duct tape, bailing wire, and odd strips of metal laying around. I need to call him and see if he did any work for them on this...

Opps, stop presses, I made a mistake on the name of the new bike builder. I was thinking of Michaael Czysz as Fisher. Czysz (the Architect) is the guy building the Moto GP attempt. Sorry for the mix up. This is one reason I wish we could go back and edit for longer than the 5 minutes allowed.

Dan Fischer is a former AMA racer. Would you expect him to build an 800lb cruiser? Just because it is not your first choice in motorcycles, that no reason to down a great concept. It is good to see another American made bike, Crotch Rocket or not!!!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but it is only a couple small steps from XS, to XJ, to FJ... which started all these "Crotch Rockets". Our beasts have the living breathing heart that fits more into the concept of sport than tour (In my opinion), but am glad the insurance companies don't see it that way.

I have nothing against any type of bike. Even Harley, I'm sad to say. All the successfull companies have found a niche in the market, and I agree that it is good to see some U.S. jobs come to fruit because of it. That being said... I still don't care for the looks of this one. I'm sure it's very functional and very fast... just not my cup of tea (Or color!.. lol) Just my opinion.

I do see it as a tough sell though in a market where it seems that every bike builder is doing this style of bike. Even Harley's Sportster is trying to appeal there, but not quite as full blown a racer is this. Good luck to them.

Think how short these threads would be if everyone agreed?!?

I had the same thought when I read that. Reminded me of the time I was looking at the specs for the 2007 models and recognized the breeding.
