  • 82 CB750 Parts?

I have a buddy that bought the above-mentioned bike, and wants me to work on it for him. Does anyone know a good source for parts besides Partsnmore? He says it needs a cam chain (I haven't looked to see if just needs adjustement) but it shows with his DOHC that each cam takes a chain... and Partsnmore so far has been the cheapest I have found at $54 EACH!

Anyway... any Honda people out there have any answers?

Try your hardest to be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

    Tod,

Here is a link to a Honda forum like this one, it's for 750/900/1100's.

      cam chains

      Tod-
I don't often come into this forum, so I just saw this post. As you can tell from my signature, I have some CB 750's. *I believe* that the engines from 79-82 are mostly interchangeable. (At least I put the engine of an '82 F into my '79 K model and it ran -though that was an entire engine) I still have the original '79 engine sitting in my closet right now. I don't know if you'd be able to use '79 chains with '82 cams, BUT if you can, (and still need them) how does $25 plus shipping for the pair sound? Let me know.

Most bearing places sell chain too. Take the old chain with you and they should be able to match it up, and it'll be way cheaper.
