That is extremely! Being a 650 fan I gotta say I love it! Here's another that looks like an easier build & I wonder how it would look on an XS1100?

Once you un-can a can of worms, the only way to re-can them is with a bigger can.

I named this bike "Arte Primitivo" Latin for Primitive Art.
Thanks to pggg, for posts the picture of my first project bike. Not one part on this bike is stock to an XS650. R6 forks frame is cut way down in size and weight front half and rear sub frame are chromoly. The front half of the wheelbase has been shortened by 2.5" (the motor barely fits in) the rear lengthened by 1.25" The steering head tube (newdesign chromoly w/tapered rollers) has been lowered by .62" The bike only weighs 340# handles like a 250cc. Wheels and tires are 17x3.5" front and 17"x4.5" rear. Thumb brake for rear brake, so I could make it kickstart only with semi rear sets. Swingarm is 94 FZR600 mono-shock with Fox twin clicker shock made to be ride height adjustable by me. I ported the head and cut the valve seats 3 angle. The headers are open and of course loud. I love it. A 520 X-ring chain and off-set counter sprocket that way I could center the rear wheel by machining the 4.5 wheel sprocket carrier and get that big 160/70/17" in the back. The bike doesn't shake or wobble, runs true at any speed I've done so far. There's lots more but it gets too long winded.
I'm dong some mods to the XS11 but won't take it nearly this far. I put on that SV650 rear brake and solid motot mounts and made my own handle bars simular to clubmans mounted upside down so far. Modern levers and grips M/C. This week I'm working on mounting some USD R1 forks (2000) and wheel/rotors/brakes/fender. Then the exhaust, which is the voice of any bike. 4/1 by me Moto GP style? I just want it to be fun and a "push-button" bike. I think I'm calling it 'MACHINE AGE' or maybe "WABI SABI" Japanese for the art of the incomplete or imperfect. Cheers, 50gary
