anyone have a good source for parts or yamaha part numbers for xj750? I tried partfish and that is good but it doesnt supply oem part numbers.

I used them to figure out prices for my bike. You can search schematics for the OEM #, and then search their database for prices. Or you ca go to Part Fish and search the OEM # you found for a better price, in my opinion. However, if your search comes up empty either place, that usually means that your part is not manufactured anymore, or at least not availible anymore...Got to fix it before I can ride it
