    Honda XR80

I just got a 1982 Xr80 rolling frame at a swap for $20.00. Now I need a motor. Does anyone know what motors will fit this frame or maybe even have one or know where one is? Let me know!!!

I had a friend that picked up a XR75 with an mid 70's Elsinore 125 motor. That bike would haul a$$. The motor fit in the frame very nicely. The only problem was with the exhaust pipe- (DG after market) it was a little hard to start the bolts in the head. Should be a nice and fun project.

      XR80R

That was my son's first bike, an XR80R, back when he was "a youngin' ". Now the bike is long gone and my son is nearly 21.
I thought I still had the factory service manual, but at the moment I can't find it.
That bike was ONE TOUGH bike.
Now my son goes on rides with me; I'll take my 'Wing and he'll take my XS.
I sure wish I could help you with some type of compatible engine but I just don't know what else would 'work'.
If I run accross the factory service manual; I'll reply again to this thread.
Good luck, and keep an eye open on Ebay for an original engine.
      Ride Safe,
