will a 850 special seat fit a 1100?

I have a couple of 850 special seats on ebay, I listed them that I thought they would fit a xs1100 special, anyone know if they will?

No, they won't fit an xs11. The 11's seat bolts down, and the 850 seats are hinged on the right side, and secured by a lock on the left.

Actually this seat isn't hinged down at all. My old 750 had a hinge on the right side. This seat has a front tab that slides under near the fuel tank bolt, then 2 latches in the rear. To service the battery you have to completely remove the seat. But it sounds like it won't fit since the xs1100 bolts down. Thanks

My 750 Special had the hinges also, so I just assumed that the 850 was the same. My bad. Maybe the latches could be swapped out for the type of hardware the 11 uses?
