Just wondering at what age you all started letting your kids ride along with you? Is there a law on age? Of coarse he will wear a helmet and we will go slow!!!! He is only 15 months now, so I know that I have plenty of years to go but I am still anxious for the first ride!!

According to this website (That you can enter for any state) Under passenger age restriction in Indianna... NO RESTRICTION. Slap a helmet on him, strap him to you an go! lol. I would probably wait until he could touch the back pegs with tippy toes before a road trip..lol.

I am a kid! My 78E is 10 days younger than me... but that is one of the cleanest looking XSeseses I ever saw... well... cant get past the engine.
LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

My youngest was 4 when I started to let her ride. I dropped her off and picked her up at daycare everyday and this went on thru the fifth grade. Was kinda tough to find a good fitting helmet. She rode in front of me till she got big enough to touch the rear pegs. The school was only a few blocks away. By the time she was 7-8 years old, she rode on the back like a pro. We often rode together on weekends when I had errands I could do on the bike. Needless to say, she was "hot stuff" when I picked her up at school. She soon had no fear even with 7k runs thru the gears. She often wanted me to do "burn outs" when we left the school to show off, that did not happen, much. At 16 now, she does not ride as much, but still likes an blast down the highway every now and then. I should add, she was 11 days old when we first took her boating. When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

what age you all started letting your kids ride along with you?
Never did.
SWMBO thought it a good idea for me to sell bikes just before Kelly, our first was born. My wife past away in 93, now, 21 years after Kelly was born and my youngest in local JC I just started riding agin by chance.

40 more posts and Pro's head will swell up so bad, he'll never find a helmet to fit. They don't make a Quasimoto size ya know! He's secretly trying to find a way to import a GOLD Font to have words worthy of his stature.

On the subject of the post, I waited until they could touch the pegs, wear a helmet and listen to me when I gave them instructions. Of course, I duct taped them to their car seats too...Papa Gino

.. my first born was 8 months old when he got his first ride. i have a picture of us some where. he started walking at 8 months, he was'nt very good at it [he kinda looked like his dad standing there after a half bottle of wild turkey] but he was walkin. it had been a long winter in connecticut, and i had the old Kawi triple in the living room and was doing repairs/adjustments. the kid seem to like helping me mess with it. one day the temp got up to about 50 deg and the roads were clear, i pushed the bike out of the back door and started it . of course the kid was right there with me when it started, i have never seen such a big smile on that guy's face. he looked like he was diggin the sound of that bike so much, he had to go for a ride, there was no way i could not take him... he loved it!.. his mom did'nt

Do sidecars count?
My neighbor's daughter 5 days old in her mother's arms on the way home from the maternity hospital in my sidecar rig.
Kenny drove her in on the pillion of his BSA 350 but had to borrow my rig to bring his family home.
Solo, safety says not until their feet reach the footpegs.
Indeed, modern sportbike footpegs are engineered to fit pillion riders no more than 4 feet tall.
