  • Anyone heard about this?

I was browsing the web and came accross this:

    Norton Motorcycles

Maybe it's just me, but that bike looks really nice. And I'm quite glad to see that company come back from the dead.

Thats is a really nice scoot. Having owned a Combat Commando in the early 70"s is sure brings back some memories, some good, some bad. I do remember my Combat being almost untouchable by any other bike, (same could be said for the 11). I hope they manage to bring them back. Triumph seems to be going strong, Indian went belly up. Hmmm, is there a BSA Rocket Three out there on the drawing board. Let just hope Lucas stays in his grave.

I know some of the people that were in on the project (sorry I can't name names) and they didn't have anything nice to say about the bike. I'm rather disapointed as
I used to love Nortons too.

The British bike industry screwed themselves over by not keeping with the times and letting their quality hit rock bottom. It took an new company to resurect Triumph and they seem to be doing what the older Brit bike companies never could (or would) do.

My brother-in-law lives down the street from the Indian plant that was in Gilroy. Every night the employees would ride a newly finished bike home to give it a shake down. What a benefit...
