  • We shoot a demo for TV tomorow!

Had alot happen to me lately- as my personal life turned to liquid crap before my eyes- my proffesional life took off like a rocket- I have stand up comic work for myself locally lined up untill the end of summer- gigs galore- but the big news is that I am trying, with the help of some very, very good TV guys- to get a new bike series on locally, and shop it nationally-

Okay- I shoot the demo today for the "Guerilla Customs" TV show we hope to have locally!

It is basically the intro/opening to the show- and we use it to get the initial sponsorship and time slot.

    Wish me luck!

Producers say three weeks to edit- they are backlogged from thier other series- finishing this next week.

I know absolutely nothing about TV tech- know how to write, but not how to run anything remotely tied to getting a picture out of the camera to move and entertain poeple.

They tell me each episode consumes at least one 100gig harddrive unit- and they tend to get them for around 150 bucks. The other series used up over 2000 gigs!

Tape stock costs 6 bucks each.

He expects more memory needed for my series- so that is the first move out- get enough sponsors to pay for actual production costs!

    Wish me luck!

Well, great news to offset the bad news. Life has a way of bringing out the good for someone who is trying to do good.
Good luck, and I hope it goes!!!

Thanks fellas- as soon as the demo is edited, I will make sure this site gets a copy!

I still have yet to come across the "right" yamaha to do anything to on the show.

          I will find something though!

High time, I say! I'd watch a program where guys took parts bikes and made a nice custom for as few bucks as possible, just like I try to do. The shows where five pro builders open new boxes of parts and whole engines with donated-for-publicity custom gear are hackneyed and overdone. Reminds me of the woodworking show I used to watch where the guy would say: "These double reverse counter-radiused dado joins are quick and easy," and then he'd walk over to a $25,000 computer-controlled joiner machine, just like we all own....

            More power to you!

I guess my 2nd 78XS (in 3 buckets, 2 boxes and some still on the frame) would be a little much..... but if it isn't.....
Actually I am wanting to make it into trike eventually....
What kind of show is it going to be?
I looked and couldn't find the thread that described what you will be doing.
