  • R model xs1100

    On ebay there's supposedly an R model xs1100 for sale. Just wondering if in fact they really are rare or if anybody knows what the difference is.

        That is just a plain 81 special the vin # for that year was "4R0".
        The USA \ CANADA models did not have a "R" model. The Europe models had RH, 1.1 & 1.1S. There might be other in Europe models I don't know about but here in the U. S. the Standard, Special, Mid-Night Special and the Maxium XJ 1100 are it.

            in australia the 1981 rh was xs1100r on the compliance plate.basicly a xs1100lh made as a cafe racer with headlight fairing

              Australia seems to get all the good Japanese bikes. I sure would have been nice to have gotten those here too...
