    Howdy Group!

It’s been awhile since I posted. So I thought I would update.

It’s been nearly 2 years since I parked “The Dark Horse”. She quit running while I was unemployed, so money was tight and I didn’t have time or means to find out what was wrong with her. So I parked her in the stable.

Of course after I joined the ranks of the employed again I had the opportunity to buy “The Pack Horse” (1985 Yamaha Venture Royal). When I have a working bike to ride it’s hard to take time to fix the broken one.

My 1980 XS 1100, “The Dark Horse”, has been one of the most enjoyable bikes I have ever owned. But I can only ride one bike at a time. I hate to see her sitting there in the garage missing out on all the fun. Someone should be ridding her. So I’ve made the decision to fix whatever is ailing her and put her up for sale.

I’ll post the details when she is ready. I don’t believe it will take much to get her running again.

    Ride safe!

    Thanks Bob.

I'd much rather see that than someone parting one out because something like the ignition switch quit. I'm sure it will find a happy home.

I'll probably set the price in the range of $1200 - $1500. Depends on how she cleans up and runs after I work on her.

She's a special in more ways than being an 1980SG model.

You can read her story on my web page:

I'll post again with pics when she's ready to go.

        Thanks for your interest.
