I am selling a 1980 XS11 standard with the full Yamaha factory fairing and bags. In 2005, I bought a new Nomad with the intention of also riding my XS11 but this did not happen. This XS11 is a good bike that needs a little maintenance and TLC to put it back into prime condition.
The current mileage is a little over 47,000 miles. About 17K of these were put on between 09/2001 (when I bought the bike) and 03/2005. The engine still runs strong, but does have a slight skip in it (unknown whether this is electrical or fuel delivery). Valves and/or cam chain is a little loud and needs adjusting. The back brakes need adjustment or replacement. The front brakes were working fine the last time I rode it last year. But back this past January after cranking it up and preparing to ride, the front brakes locked up. So I loosen the calipers enough to push it back into the garage.
As mentioned, the bike has the original Yamaha fairing and lowers, Cycle Sound (AM/FM/cassette/speakers), saddle bags, luggage rack, back rest, wrap around chrome saddle bag guards, front and rear crash bars, oil cooler, and a comfortable Yamaha touring seat. I also have the original stock seat, though ripped, that will come with the bike.
