    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The pic is hard to see, but does the thermometer say zero? I'm glad I don't live up there any more. I was going to fly up there this week to see my Mom, but my back can't stand the cold any more. The 20 degree temps that we had here last week had me all kinds of hurtin, Ayuh! Besides, I wouldn't be able to ride all winter. Hell, we were having 80 degree temps in January. Talk about a January thaw. I don't envy you Willy, though I do miss driving around in a good snow fall at night. Put the high beams on, and it looks like Star Trek. Back in 75-76 I had a 69 Chevelle convertable, and me and some buddies would get a little stoopid, put the top down, heater cranked and go driving around in a snow storm. We had enough anti freeze in us to not even feel the cold. Damn lucky we did get killed doing some of the dumb stuff we did.

Here in TN, we've had a few day and nights of 15-20°, but overall it's been really mild this winter. 65° days in January and Feb, which is normally rare. Actually been able to get a little done on the bike here and there. I'll be happy when spring has sprung though, I'm ready to get busy.

Was stationed in Great Lakes for boot camp and Corps school. That was misery. Had wind chills reaching -86. That is just stupid cold. As recruits guess who was out shoveling the snow? Us!!! Went from 25-30 degree weather in may there to 65-70 degree weather in Pensacola. Thought that I had died and gone to heaven!!!! The locals were still bundled up and I was out in the Gulf swimming!

            Winter in Colorado

Took these photos last Sunday, Feb. 26. Hwy 13 north of Rifle, CO.

Sit behind that big Windjammer and lowers with a pair of heavy gloves, leather jacket, riding boots and it is acceptably comfortable. Roads were clear, couldn't resist getting out. Snow is melting a bit, but more in the forcast today.
