Wish we had stuff like this on US TV.

Might wake some of these morons up.
Shiny side up,
650 Mike

XS1100SF "Rusty", runs great, 96k miles
XS650SJ "The Black Bike", engine from XS650H with 750cc big bore kit, 30k miles

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out and defiantly shouting, "WOW, what a ride !" - Sprung

We have a few of those thought provoking adverts over here, the first ftime you see them they are quite shocking. I don't know how effective they prove to be it would be interesting to know.

US commercial TV has devoted whole programs to teenage drivers and their high traffic accident and fatality rates as well as the dangers of driving while fatigued but whenever the high injury and fatality rate for motorcyclists is mentioned on TV or the popular press it is never brought out that most collisions between cages and bikes are the fault of the cager. Why not? I suppose they think we have it coming to us.

yesterday (4:30PM) riding south on Hesperian Blvd..
Traffic very heavy (three lanes both directions).

I'm in middle lane, small truck up two cars in right lane turns on blinker and slows to turn into parking lot.

Gal in small green cage (right beside me) decides she doesn't want to slow down and comes into my lane.

Half way into my lane she turns and looks me right in the eye. Little look of surprise on her face.

Would have given her the finger, but was too busy clamping the brakes, down shift and swerving over outa the way.

Seldom split lanes, but may from now on in heavy traffic at stop lights just to get up and away from the throng of cages.

Remember in H.S. driver ed. Showed some crash movies. They should show same with mc's too.
