Well if you were there I didn't see you. If you didn't go you are better off.
Took 3 hours to get to the IX Center south of Cleveland from Kane, took another 1 hour 15 minutes to go the last 1/2 mile. The traffic control was non-existent, not one single LEO or rent-a-cop or anything directing traffic, and the road from the 4 lane to the IX Center necks to one lane, with several stop lights not synchronized. True a$$holes just cutting in front of you, daring you to not let them in. I am NOT going back, that put a real damper on the whole thing.
The place was twice as full as last year, you could NOT move. AND, you would have idiots sitting on bikes for several minutes, just sitting and chatting with their friends, and maybe worse, standing there talking on their cell phones blocking your approach to the bikes. Tap them on the shoulder and they don't even look at you, elbow them out of the way and they just elbow you back again. These boneheads are not even thinking about the 4 million other folks there for the same reason. Only got a glimpse of most of the bikes, you just could not get uninterrupted views of any of them.
The organizers will have to look at something different next year, this doesn't work anymore. $12 for tickets and $7 to park and they can't even tell you if there are any parking spaces left. Not one person directing parking. Take a million people who just sat for an hour in their vehicles within ight of the show, and turn them loose in a 500 acre parking lot with limited spaces available. There are probably 150,000 parking spaces and it was practically full when we left, and that hour long line was still there.
On a good note, I FINALLY got to sit on the FJR, and that sealed it, I am definitely getting one, either this summer or next. With a clutch lever.

I plan to replace the Venture, not the FZ-1. I need something that will go long distance and still be fun when I get there. The Venture does the first part very well.
The FZ-1 is fine, just lacks baggage capacity for say a week.
I am considering an ST as an alternative to the FJR, but I think I like the FJR better now that I had a chance to sit on one.
