      I wonder if Ken Talbot knows that HIS "Second gear fix" article is posted on THEIR website?

        Randy,
        Fillow the link for the xs1100 shop. You'll see a sport fairing, the tank, and it's NICE, and I think a 6 gallon version. It say's '80, but should fit a '78 up standard. The daily ride would be nice with a little more range.

          Looks to me like someone is selling the pin strip only not replica gas tanks. But I don't read German either.
          There's always a way, figure it out.

              Actually, I can't take credit for that, Randy. The diagrams and photos of the dremel work are TopCat's from his "walkthrough" article. I did put together the first basic on-line procedure many years ago, but a lot of other folks have contributed enormously to the comprehensive section we've got on the forum nowdays.

                  Works OK but not perfect.

                      Yep.. just the tank strips... the gold ones. Stick em on and clearcoat over....

                      I'm still attempting to get a tank just like that one off a friend of mine. He has a seat to match. The emblems need work tho.
