Man, I thought for sure I would get up this morning and see this item scooped up fast. That is 40cc's bigger than the biggest kit I have heard of (excluding Viper's 1500) and half the price?

.. Don't do it, you will be sorry, although you will only be out 280 bucks(no returns).. read the clues in his description, they are vague but there are clues

        Clues for the wary buyer!

        Gneig, you're right!!

Upon closer inspection, the kit is described as:
        [quote]Yamaha XS1100 BIG BORE RC Engineering Turbo K1220T cc[quote]

And if you'll notice the Compression ratio for the "Turbo" kit, it's below stock cause it's to be used WITH A TURBO!. You'll also notice the very flat....non domed piston shape!

So..Jesse, save up an extra $100 and plunk down ~ $400.00 for an 1196cc big bore and be assured of what you'll be getting, about 10.5:1 ratio and 96cc's more, and won't need a TURBO!

          or????

think ahead buy the head and pistons,,go on ebay till that turbo does come along for reasonable price, and have only 300cc's less then 1500 and a turbo with about 225hp to the rear wheel?????????????you can always mil the head a smidge to bump up compress ?? hey it could happen.

well it is in germany and shipping aint cheap and why not just buy a complete 1196 kit with the higher comp and put cams and a good exhaust on there and call it a day

i was looking into it but i am thinking a 1196 high comp and cams and exhast and a few other little things will be better off then a 1220 kit with low comp

I was never considering it. I am far from having $300+ to blow. If I did I would be buying my megasquirt. I just thought everyone mught be interested, especially for the price.

                  why? you say why?

Because an XS-XJ with 1200cc's and a turbo would be DOWNRIGHT BITCHIN THATS WHY

No, I think FAST is the proper word. But then, who among us wouldn't want something like that?
I do plan to turbo, but I'll keep the boost down, and the base compression up.

Saw it on ebay... the cyls look... weird. The honing looks terrible, pistons dodgy. But I'm no expert.
Saw a bigger one... besides the 1500. It was a 1300 engine on german ebay. Went for a little over 1000 euro. Twin spark head, lightened crank, racing cams,.... all the goodies xcept nitro and turbo.
IMHO a new wiseco kit is a better option.

there is no substitute for cubic inches,in our case cubic centimeters. Ask anyone who races,or anyone with an1196 kit??my point XSactly....
