Guess that I am a little young for surf bands. Big Jimmy Buffett fan though (hence the screen name!). Play alot of his stuff on the guitar, mostly acoustic. I own a strat, but it has not been out of the case for 2 years.

Not much of a parrothead myself but Buffet's cool, I'm more a rockn'n'roll and blues guy with some rockabilly thrown in. Playing mostly acoustic 12 string these days cause my ears are kinda shot from the volume of the '60s (not to mention guns and airplanes). Still have my '53 Gretsch Country Club though which was featured in July ish of Vintage Guitar Magazine so I still get loud sometimes.

How many musicians out there on this forum I wonder? Lotta guitar guys on some of these motorcycle boards. Guys I rode with in '60s and '70s, maybe half played guitar or other instruments. There was a whole huge guitar thread on the Jalopy Journal forum too.

Whew! Talk about a highjacked thread...hey moderators, better shut us down!
