What, no one takes their XS offroad?

Wouldn't it be fun to put knobby tires on and go for a run on the trails.
I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it

Guess you've never seen pictures from the '40s and '50s when Harlys were stripped and used offroad. They usually showed some poor guy in the middle of a mud bog pretty much collapsed on the handlebars from exhaustion. Now those were the good ol' days.

A year or so back, I saw an XS 650 on Ebay that someone had converted to off road. It was very cool, had XT forks and triple crown, gas shocks moved forward and the frame gusseted where it counts. After riding my XT 500 for several years, I would welcome a twin. An interesting approach for offroad riding.

. there are more than 28 people on this site, we could crush those other numbers!
