  • New guy....

Hey all, I am new to the XS1100 world and bikes in general. I have always been a gear head but with 4 wheels insted of two. I just picked up a 78' XS 11 from a buddy for $500 and the bike runs great! I love it! I saw this site and figured this place looks like a great place to read up on the XS. I hope to get involved in some ralleys and rides at some point. -Adam

    Welcome Adam,

There is no such thing as too many toys!! Seriously, glad you love your 'new' XS. It's an addiction to roll that throttle on, hear the whine of the valve gear, the rumble of the exhaust and feel Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration kick you in the seat of your pants!

Welcome to the family Adam. You couldn't have picked a better place to join. The wealth of knowledge is amazing. I've yet to see any problem the collective brains of our members couldn't resolve. Hope to see you somewhere along the road. Until them, ride on and enjoy!!!

                Take care

                Hi Adam,
just you be careful riding that thing.
The XS11 is a wonderful machine & I love it but IMHO it runs out of brakes and handling way before it runs out of speed.

                  AND...

You'll find that you'll run out of balls before you run out of throttle!
