Hi, has anyone ever fitted a GPS speedometer? Any particular make that gives the best results? Not for the 1100, but my Royal Enfield Bullet, it is reading approx. 15mph too fast. I have replaced the front wheel unit, the cable and the speedometer. Apparently it is a known fault. The only reason I ask here is that the wealth of knowledge in this forum is outstanding. Thanks

How old a bike is it? The reason I ask is that RE or it's dealers should be the "go-to" people to take care of it. You never know what kind of nit pickey rules are in the fine print of your warranty that could make it void.
Besides, a replacement speedo brings up legal stuff as far as selling it goes. I've used a GPS speedo app on my phone in the past, get a handlebar mount for your phone and you've got a more accurate speedo plus navigation to boot and avoid any non stock hassles in the future.1980 XS1100G

Hi, it is a 2007 model. In the UK, as far as I am aware, as long as you have the old speedos with the mileage to pass on to the new owner, it should not be an issue. I am thinking about leaving the original in place and mounting a GPS one as an extra. Thanks for your response.
