  • Racing springs?

Has anyone tried these ? I know (cuz I learned here ) that redline is defined by the rpm at which the springs can no longer bring the valves back at the rate the cam lobes drop. Are these springs stiffer? Would they raise the redline rpm? Would they increase lifter/cam wear? Just curious.

.. racing valve springs are a good idea on a bike with racing cams but may not be on a stock one ..i'm not sure if they raise the red line any. you would not notice any difference in performance with just the springs.
.. the stock motors power [on the xs11] peeks at around 7500rpm then starts to taper off[go back down], by 8500 rpms the big power is all over. unless you have a heavily modified motor with high end capabilities, moving the red line higher would be of no benefit
.. but having them around [sitting on a shelf] for that rainy day when you have collected all the parts to make it really fast is a good idea

i love the words "in stock"
