    UK members/users

Hi, are there any UK or Ireland members/users of the XS11 club?

There should be a few on here. I've been to the UK, and met one or two of the owners years ago.

Most of the UK members are still busy on XS1100 pages on Facebook where the UK club has their own page. I left Meta completely as all that abuse crap is not worth reading.

The other thing about facebook is how bad the "security" is! I've not been on it in many years because of it.

I don't use Facebook, so for me this forum is brilliant. The knowledge and expertise is great, and so far the help and guidance is outstanding. When I first got on a bike in 1981, who would have thought that you could ask a question and get a reply from a few thousand miles away the next day. I have returned to bikes after a break of quite a few years, and managed get the bike I wanted all those years ago but mortgage and house got in the way and couldn't afford it then.

Lived that dream... My poor XS sat buried under a tarp and debris for 19 years in the garage as a mortgage and child-rearing took precedent. The saving grace is that this group provided all the valuable knowledge and insight to get it back on the road again. Couldn't quit flip the odometer this year - being put away for the winter with 99,550 km on the clock - next year for sure.
Had an opportunity to tour Devon & Cornwall a couple of years back - sure wished I had two wheels under my butt instead of four - there's some sweet twisty roads over there.
