    It felt good!

I don't ride much any more, but when a childhood friend, from as far back as grade school, calls and asks me, "Wanna take a ride up to the lake today?" I had to go!!

Don't give up yet Bob. I rode two hours yesterday and a little over an hour today. Will do the same for the next several days. I still have 5 bikes and it has been a busy summer and the bikes have been sitting a while so they are getting exercise before cold weather comes.

Way to go Bob,,,,the Army Xs1100 is still rolling with its builder, You. Amazing how such simple acts can bring a smile and good memories. Its always good to see people enjoy motorcycles for what they do for us. I have been to a few Sturgis rallies expecting the Harley crowd to look down on any other brands but found out everyone there,,,nearly a million riders,,,,just want to celebrate and hang with fellow riders of all ages and types of bikes, very enlightening. I rolled up with my old trusty Maxim 1100 in the middle of all these expensive Harleys,,,,then the tattooed up Harley guys crowded around and reminisced about the King Yamaha 1100's,,,,I was cracking up. Life has a way of keeping us happy at unexpected times,,,,Take it easy Bob, Mike in San DIego and Pa.

I still ride every day. I can't live without it. I just had tongue cancer/neck surgery (that's one way to shut me up). A few days later and ever since, I went on these rides with different bikes. One was a two hour ride in the pouring rain to Rice-O-Rama.

Phil said it best: A Hundred Miles A Day Keeps The Doctor Away!! (My doctor cracks up because I ride my bike to every appointment no matter what the weather)

Yes it does smart a bit. BTW, the two blood filled tubes coming out of my neck go to an oil cooler.

Earlier this summer I was going across I-80 near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border and was passed by three members of a nationally recognized 1% club, two of them gave me a thumbs up as they went by. Of course it's not just the bike that caught their eye, add in the trailer with all kinda stuff roped onto it and the sticker collection pasted all over everything and it's quite obvious I'm not your average everyday "citizen"
