The ultimate high-performance XS1100

OK, we need a list of all the performance mods for the ultimate XS1100. Maybe someone can link the threads together.
Here's what I can think of. Chime in with the missing pieces.

-1196 big-bore kit
-turbo or supercharged
-fuel injection
-dual sparkplug heads that have been ported and polished (I know, some are against porting and polishing. Just making a list here)
-higher-output coils
-higher output ignition
-chain drive
-NOS
-wheelie bar
-fork brace
-progressive springs and shocks
-SS brake hoses

What else? (no arguing)

i would say that would be a good street strip bike and thats what all i plan to do to mine but not the chain drive

Pat, If you put all that into one bike you would need one other thing:

-giant cajones

Lighten and balance that crankshaft.
Different cams.
Forged pistons and better wrist pins.
And geez a new cam chain.
Steel braided brake lines.


....and a place to ride.

an ass ortment of gear ratios for the shaft drive
twin turbos intercooled
digital fuel injection
and a huge blue bottle of nitrus/3 stage 500 + hp.!!!!!
oh ya and a helmet

It has to do with the compression ratio, cams, base timing, and the centrifical advance governor/ and weights. I don't have the numbers in my head, but I believe that is why. The 80-81 had bigger valves, but shorter duration then the older cams, and less compression.

relieve the heads ( some porting )
MegaSquirt Fuel injection system
Turbocharger on home made exhaust
Tkat fork brace.
Stainless brake lines
Drilled rotors
anti pucker seat
I am trying for 150hp at the rear wheel. I don't know if I'll make it, but it WILL be a fun bike.

the 1300 and twinspark and cams and cranks and all the hi tech stuff... was in an engine that was sold on ebay for bout 1000$ US a few years back. I posted a link. Too bad I didn't have the cash.
