Mine shall be a metal flake forrest green I think. Of all the colors I've picked out, I really like that one the best. Not sure what other color I might add, but I'm still working on it. The repaint won't happen until the weather takes a two month nose dive, so I've got time to tinker until then.

Daytona Yellow with Black accents bars/stripes like the Kenny Roberts short track or his road race bike or even like the YZ motocross bikes 76, 77 models. USA old style colors....

My LG will be repainted black.
The E will be metallic pearl Yamaha blue with an as yet undetermined graphic

my 80G is flat our stock.
silver/gray and every thing else but the mirrows.
plan to keep it as original as possible.


hope to snag a local xs1100 as a second bike.
black on black and as fast as I can afford if I get it.

I haven't painted my bike as of yet, but the PO did several paint jobs in the den of his apartment. I do plan on repainting mine this winter and I plan on doing all the work myself.

In the mean time, I'm committing John's thread to memory. He just painted his and posted a fantastic progress report, along with the new-to-me procedure of wet sanding. I'm going to have to give that a try.

I'll make sure I get some before and after pic's posted once I get ready to start.

The "Daily ride" is a dark blue, repainted by the PO, and then again by me. Close but not quite original, it's a chevy truck color. My "winter project" is going to be black and gold. I'll do the painting and stripes, with powder coating on anything I can afford. The engine will NOT be painted, but fully anodized black.
