  • Saddle Bags for Sale...

I've got a set of stock Saddle Bags up for sale. Macho Maroon with gold lettering. The left bag has an aftermarket lid due to the fact the original lid blew off and properly demolished by an 18-wheeler. I'll post them on here for a while before I offer them up to the eBay gods for selling. If you're interested, let me know and make me an offer. In the mean time, I'll get a picture of them posted so you can see what I'm talking about.

Note, these are used bags and have some scratches and what-not, but are still in great shape if you want to sand them down and repaint. I also have the original mounts for each one so they will be ready to install and ride.

I wonder how they would look on an XJ?

What are you looking to get out of them?

I know the mount system will only fit the standard. You could modify it to fit a special, but it would take a little work. The standard rear frame is the part that has most of the changes from a special.
They do look interesting, so I am also thinking about them. If they fit my budget, I know they will fit either bike.
let me know what you think they are worth.

The XJ frame is a bit different than either the Standard or Special, having to do with rear passenger footpeg mounts as well as muffler mounts. If the hardware uses either of these two points chances are you would have to do some 'tinkering' to get the bags to fit on an XJ. The bags would look OK, its the 'tinkering' that you would have to make clean and neat.

My bike's PO actually got it for me. I've called him to ask him where he picked it up, but he has yet to call me back. As soon as he does, I'll let you know.

As far as price goes, I'm kind of debating that. I'm watching a brand new set on eBay that's going for over $250. Now I don't want that much for mine as mine are not brand new, but I would really like to get enough to cover the parts I need to order ... so lets try this. If you're interested, PM me and let me an offer. I'll give you a couple days to think if over and you can let me know what you think.

If you have any other questions, just let me know.

                          Lids...

I've called the PO to ask him where he got it, wound up speaking to his machine. He hasn't called me back yet, but as soon as he does, I'll be sure to pass on the information to everyone.
