pod air filters

anyone out there have a set of pod filters for a 1979 xs 1100 ? i am not sure of the size they are

As Phil stated and here is an example of one Air Filter - Pod - 54mm | Yamaha Motorcycle Parts | Mikes XS. If you have never used them be careful with them. As in the example I gave from Mikes XS if you will blow up the second picture in the listing you will notice the lip on the inside of the pod. That lip will possibly block the intakes on the various screws on the intake side of the carb. I have never used them but if you do be sure to check that and make sure you do what is necessary to ensure good flow to those air inlets.
