He's definitely around
I got a fork brace kit from him this spring. It took 11 days from the time he got my money until the time it was in my mailbox.
That's fast turn around!
This thing ROCKS! Handles like a totally different bike. The front wheel actually goes, and STAYs where you put it.

Be sure to loosen the center bolts on the brace every time you remove the tire. Compress the forks several times with it Loose then re tighten it while the fork is compressed. The instructions claim it will perform better on highway expansion joints and square edge bumps."We are often so caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey." "

So as I read this post this is a good fork brace?I have one now(not the same type) but I get lots of front end wobble with heavy front brake application.
Not a good pic of current brace but only one I have..gotta look closely to see it.'80 XS1100 SG

Hey Bill,
That FB is the style that is for the XS650, it's made of steel and should be fairly firm as well! You say wobble, do you mean a side wiggling wobble, or a BOUNCE, or surging pulsing feeling???
Could be slightly warped rotors, or irregular/rough spots on the rotors, could be too light fork fluid, or worn fork springs, uneven air pressure in fork tubes....if any??

TC,
I have ruled out the other possible problems and as you suggested the rotors might be the source....got new SS brake lines and my independent dealer( A friend whom I trust)is going thru my whole brake system next month.....will have him dbl check the rotors.

I'm using the Tkat and the hoop style brace on my 81 special. The two of them together make for a nice solid steering feel.
BTW, my front rotors were warped and I had the same braking symptoms. I think they warped due to sticking calipers and heat bulidup. Cleaned up the calipers inside and out and put some new (used) discs on the front.
Much better now.
