  • New Site Issues

Wow! The upgrade, login, and user history all transferred to the new club site -- shiny!

The site page is not-so-shiny but it's most likely a layout issue.

I'm not authorized to use the "Who's Online" feature. Huh? Oh, well.

I can drag/drop a screenshot to the New Topic wotzit box but I'm not authorized to create or remove attachments.

Offsite links don't work for me and I don't want to use yet-another image site like postimage.cc.

Hmm... suddenly a cameras icon appeared at the upper left corner of the New Topic and it seems to have let me upload the screeshot.

(crosses fingers and clicks the Post button)

EDIT Looks like it was a permission issue that's been fixed. (laughing)

Users are now allowed to view "Who's Online".

The image posting permissions must have been squared away around the time you were working on your post so the camera icon appeared.

Yeah, so I created a new account to test out various permissions. Didn't mean for that last post to go out with that account, oh well.

I made the page full width and removed the extra page heading from the main page. That addresses most of your feedback 3Phase. I don't plan to work on integrating our logo and the search bar unless I find myself with lots of free time.

Hi Nezzer, is there a way to add an automatic signature to our posts so we can share which model bike we own? I know we can click on a profile to find that out but it would be much easier when trying to help others with mechanical problems. Although, it does look much cleaner and easier to read without all of that.

bikerphil - scroll all the way up, click the down arrow next to your forum name, select User Settings, Account tab. Scroll down to the "Edit Post Signature." You'll see your old sig. Check the "Show Signature" box.
            Save Changes.

This was posted on another forum.
I tried to become a new user within the xs1100.club site, but when I registered it stated an email would be sent to confirm/authorize my account, but that email never arrived. Probably a bug in the new forum. If there is a way to communicate with the admin of that site, it would be helpful.

There is a Contact Us link at the bottom of all pages, which appears to allow communication with the Forum Administrator (I'm not sure if this would work if the email system is down, though). We're working on revising the email configuration so it is more reliable.

That Contact Us link at the bottom of all pages does indeed work, provided our email service isn't currently blocked. I may have resolved that user's issues. Someone had contacted me last night and I was able to fix that account this morning. If your guy is still having problems, give him my email (from my signature) so we can get him online while we work on increasing the reliability of our site email.

                        Question for Nezzer.
We used to see peoples locations in the post. Some were quite funny/inventive. It did help when asking for help or selling / buying stuff.
I found how to open my signature after a few tries but as no one else has their location showing it is not me that is the problem
