Was over to the Lakeport today, about 30 miles round trip. Intermittent showers, nothing worth putting the rainsuit on for, well oiled leather kept me dry. Could see that heavy rain was falling in the mountains all around but not so much here in the Clear Lake basin. Beautiful rainbow, the end was in the middle of the lake so no pot of gold.... Temp about 50F.

Rode around usual places last night. Stars were out and main roads were dry.

Then about 3:30 am it started to rain agin and I needed to go to work at 4:30 am.

Rain had stopped but traffic never does. Hate the road stuff kicked up by cages. Guess I better put the face shield back on my helmet.

Totally remembered why I don't like riding in the rain.

Had they XS out on Saturday about 35 or so but sunny seemed a lot warmer. It's been too long I've been on the Venture a few times since November but Haven't.t been on the XS since like Sept When I put the fuel Stabilizer in in Oct I had some battery issues and couldn't get her to start so the gas was sitting in the carbs un-stabilized since Sept. I got her started and she ran rough. Put in some sea foam and after ten miles or so things started to straighten out. She was back to normal after 20 or so. Topped her off put in some stabil and ran her another 10 just to make sure the carbs were full of good gas. I need to rife her more. It's supposed the be mid 40's here this week work just may have to take a back seat.

Well Sunday had 40-50 mile per hour winds here, so waited till monday. Put about 90-100 miles on her, was a nice ride. It was in the 50's

Supposed to rain today-tuesday, so hope it gets back to nice weather soon, but if not I can wait, especially since alot of you up north are having to.

Life is good. It was 55 and sunny here. I got in about 20 on the Battle Cruiser. At 6 AM, it's 52, looks like we could get another day in. I'm taking him to work today. Gotta ride, gotta ride, gotta ride!
