battery bracket?

Hi all,

My '79 xs has a plastic tray that the battery sits in but there is no bracket to hold it in on the right side (other than the side cover I mean). Is there supposed to be one? I would think that it could tip/slid out or something.

if you are talking about a standard
yes there is a bracket
its a little strip of metal going diaginal from the top left to the bottom right
the battery acid usually eats it away after 10-15 years
i found mine on ebay

nope I have a special

I suppose the special would have something similar though. Maybe I can buy some aluminum and fabricate it.
