    Hey MRO,

Thanks, but I actually did several searches, and found that topic, but it doesn't apply, since I did essentially a FULL install over my OS, there are no Uninstall files mentioned in my Remove/Add programs applet!?

These files seem to be the remnants of the Knowledge Base updates that are D/L'd, like security updates and such, so I think I can delete them!?

I may try putting them in the Recycle bin first, and if WinXP behaves alright after that, then I should be safe in flushing them from the RC bin!

      look in the main drive
      scroll down to "windows"

don't know what these uninstall files are

      what you can do though
      delete: windows tour
      games
misc. little programs like "paint" etc..

been quite awhile since I've looked to put XP on a diet.
Will look in my notes at work tomorrow

Are you having space problems with the C drive? Do you have more space on other drives?

First thing is to turn off Restore if Home edition has it, only familiar with Pro. Controlpanel:system:systemrestore.

Also relocate your swap space to another drive. Controlpanel:system:advanced:Performance:advanced: virtualmemory.
