  • Viva Las Vegas!

    Hello fellow XSives,

I was hoping to to reach out to the Nevada members or anyone familiar with the Las Vegas area. I am going to be visiting Las Vegas in a couple of weeks and the wife and I have rented a bike for a day. I am looking at touring the area east of Vegas, i.e. Mt. Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, that general area. I thought maybe some of you would be able to offer some suggestions and any advice for traveling that area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. One thing I was wondering about was the gas station situation. Are there plenty of stops or are there specific places where I should fuel up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

SWMBO and I are going to be down that way also from the 20th to th 24th. We're not planning on any riding, but if our times overlap, maybe we could neet and swap a few lies!

There must be some way to borrow a couple of bikes in that area. You can borrow mine...I'm only 400 miles away...if you finish my carb work...and replace the carb boots....

Now there's a great offer! Let me see if I've got it straight. You're bringing your bike in to Las Vegas, I'll do a quick tune up in the parking lot of the Golden Nugget, then SWMBO and I will take it for a bit of a day trip around the area. Sounds good to me! Almost sounds too good to be true...

It just warms the heart to see folks coming together to help one another! This could be a whole new chapter in the concept of barter economy.

Ken, you were right on about my offer...except for the "bring it to Vegas" and "quick tune-up" parts...

You would spurn my bike after having ridden those fine specimens you and your lovely bride own. Is Mrs. T in on the Vegas trip? Are three bikes needed? Or is this a "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas" sort of thing?
