    HAS ANYONE MADE A MANIFOLD AND USED A 2 BARREL CARB OFF A 6 CLY CAR ON AND XS OR XJ1100? I HEARD THAT GOLDWING RIDERS HAVE DONE THIS AND IT WORKS. IF IT WOULD WORK ON XS/XJ IT WOULD SAVE A LOT OF CARB CLEANING AND ADJUSTING. I DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO MAKE THE MANIFOLD OR I WOULD TRY IT MYSELF

    Go for fuel injection. It's easier and will run better. If I can get a spare bike, I plan on trying to see what I can get out of a street engine!

      spare bike? bet that it would be easier to try and adapt one of the 2 cylinder XS bikes. Just a thougt. What about a little 400 or so. Great on fuel to ride back and forth to work, cheap for a project bike?

        I just talked with someone today. I'll be getting a complete 78, and almost a complete bikes worth of parts!!
        Two complete engines, plus all the electrical from the second bike! My shed will be installed just in time
        I will work on one or two alternitive intake systems and let everyone know how they work out.
