A bit of news from the East Coast, Mark Robertson has a brand new set of wheels! He still has his 84 XJ1100 and awaiting the TCI box that may have been lost in the mail ( 5 weeks).....anyway his new bike is a Yamaha "Majesty" 400CC engine......I picked Mark up today and dropped him off at the dealer where he bought it it was in for 1100 kms serviceing.........dont know what the plan is for the XJ and if he will ever see that part, perhaps converting the XJ over to an XS ignition will be the next phase.
Anyway, thought I would email this info to the group as Mark said to me today, he isnt on the site as much as he would like to be.
As for me, I still ride my XS1100 though not as much as in previous years, building a new fuse box for it right now.....as far my 79 Special, I've moved it to the middle of my garage floor, started polishing the engine cases and stainless xhaust syetem which came out real nice! The idea being if its right in the middle of the floor and its in my way I'll work on it. Also working on the frame removing rust on the welds also repairing the rusty seat pan.
