Wow! What a lot of great information. Thanks to all of you. I think I'm going to go by the Auto Parts store and pick up a 2 pronged flasher first. I don't care about the self canceling process. If the new flasher works I'm going to be happy to just get on and drive it.

Hey Greg,
Get an electronic one. As mentioned, they are a bit more expensive, but don't care what the load is on the line, so they'll flash consistently with either incandescent bulbs, or LED's!! Then, if you decide to switch to LED's, you'll already have the right flasher for it.

Travis????I'll have to research that, I don't remember recommending a 3 prong?? I've used 2 prongs on mine. I remember having to switch the wires in the bikes PLUG on an XJ to get them in the right position to work with a 2 prong flasher! But I don't recall suggesting a 3 prong?!?!

Topcat you are the man. Who would have guessed? You take out a 3 prong plug, you put in a new 3 prong plug right? WRONG! That is kinda odd. Stopped and picked up a new electronic 2 prong blinker on the way to work tonight, and put it in out in the ambulance bay of the ER. Works great now. I will actually have turn signals on the way home in the morning!
The bike is now running great. Carbs tuned, brakes working, all brake lights/turn signals now working. What a wonderful machine!

Just to let you all know, I went and bought a 2 prong flasher, installed it, and the turn signals are working great! All that for $2.02, what a deal. Thanks for your help.
