  • Vacum lines

I just bought a 1980 XS100 with full dress, but it is highly modified with high boards on the front and e-cruise control. Pulled the cruise off since it didn't work, but I can't find a good place to show how to rehook the vacum lines up. Anyone have an idea where I can find this? Yes, I just ordered a manual but I want to ride soon.
Also, does anyone know where I can buy the original front foot pegs, shifter and brake lever?

    Thanks, DJ

There are only two vacumm controlled devices .One being the petcocks. They get there vac from the large vacuum nipples near the head on each rubber carb boot. The petcocks use the #1 & 4 carb boots for supply # 2 & 3 should be capped off.The other is the vac advance at the left end of the crankshaft. The source for that is a small port a #2 carb only. There are no othe components that use vacuum. Any spare hoses you may have can probably be removed.

Thank you for the information. Now I can get those lines straight and cruise.

You can get all the parts your looking for on e-bay. just type in yamaha xs 1100 in the motorcycle parts catagory. I would say just cap off with the rubber vacuum caps from your local parts store the places where vacuum was used for the cruise control.

I capped off one my XJ's vac ports with a peice of automotive fuel line and the casing from a spent .22 shell.....shove casing into one end and shove the other on the vac port....dunno if this would work for you though.
