rear wheel Q for the XS11...

ok, I know the 16" was for the Special, and the 17" was for the Standard....
...but I got an 18" rear wheel off eBay some months back that I just now looked at... I *thought* it was off an 80 G, because it has a solid brake disc instead of the 'slotted' SG and a tubeless tire...

Has anyone every seen this? ...anyone ever tried it on their XS11?

This makes me think that would make the top end HIGHER, and you'd get better MPG...(?)

Ron, check the diameter of the rotor, it should be smaller than what is on an xs11. My 79 xs750SF had an 18 inch rear wheel, and the rotors were not slotted, and they are a smaller diameter.

you're right John:

the rotor is 10½" for the 18"
~11½ for the one on my 80SG

But you know...the rotors can be swapped over. I don't know about the axle spacers though...
