Hello All!
I just signed off on the final corrections to Life Is a Road, Ride It Hard! That's it! No more rounds on this one! It's done! All the typos you are bound to get in your copy have managed to slip by at least a dozen proof/editing cycles and have been personally approved by me at least three times.
I figure any typos that made it this far, deserve to be there just on sheer tenacity.
Anyway, this means that the book is officially in production and should be available for order very soon (within days I expect). I'll keep you posted.
Whew! It feels good to be done!
I've been asked what's next....
Well, a couple things are on the horizon. First, I am deep into working on Storm Rider, which is a motorcycle related fiction novel based on characters introduced in the short story "Storm Rider" that appeared in Life Is a Road, Get On It and Ride! This one's got it all and has the potential to break my books out of the niche market. I'm hoping for a Winter '05 or Spring '06 release on that one, but it's not going until it's ready.
I do expect to put another book out in the Life Is a Road series...as long as I can find interesting things to write about anyway. I've a few stories for it already, and I am going to spend about three weeks bounding about the countryside in September looking for more. There's a Route 66 run in there for sure. I'm starting to get ready for that even now, it's only a month away (can't wait!). With 70,000 miles on The Dragon, there are a few things I need to check out first...let's see...wallet--check. Credit cards--check. Boots---check. Black tshirts--check.
Hmmm....ready for launch. Cool! (never have to worry about The Dragon). If it wasn't for that pesky work stuff I'd leave today!
(tap, tap, tap, tap)
Sigh. Going to be a long month.
T-minus 28 days and counting....
(tap, tap, tap, tap)
Sigh.
I'll see you on the road.
