I had a buddy I went to school with and a few years out of high school we both bought brand new Midnight Specials. Back in 85 he totalled his bike and spent a week in the hospital. Latter he moved out of town and we lost touch for a while. Now that I'm working on my bike trying to bring her back to life after a 17 year slumber, I started thinking about my buddy. I found his number a few months ago and gave him a call. Well last night just as I got home from work he shows up at my house and says he has something for me. He hands me 4 small Yamaha boxes and a sales ticket dated 1985. I now have 4 brand new carb intake boots which I badly needed. Turns out he bought these 1 week before he wrecked his bike and has hung on to them all these years. It sure was great to talk about our riding days plus get some NOS parts for the Midnight. By the way he paid $53 including tax and would not take a dime for them. Nothing like old friends.
