  • Forgot to mention (My new (old) XS11)

When I took off the seat and side covers for the first time to do some work on my new (old) XS11, I found a curious triangle shaped box behind the battery!!! LOL Inside I found the tool kit. It was still in the factory sealed clear plastic bag with the paper label on it. I would appear that neither of the PO's had found it. The second PO told me that he bought it in 2003 and it still had the '79 sticker on the plate and around 6k mi. It had 46k when I got it in April '05.

I'm looking for the headlight bucket as this one has a fairing and since it's summer I would like to remove the fairing, top box and bags. I have an extra fairing and tank, but no light bucket.

    It's true, rusty still flies.

MikesXS has replacement buckets in the rectangular style not too pricey, see picture below:

Go to this link, scroll down and you'll find several buckets, both ROUND as well as the rectangular one!

The rectangular bucket comes with lens shell or halogen sealed beam...not sure exactly but it has the bulb!
