  • Question from a computer dummy

SWMBO and I have been having a problem accessing my/our Hotmail accounts. Every time we sign in and enter the password, we get a message that we have disabled cookies, and need to enable them. Well, we haven't done anything to the cookies. I wouldn't know how to disable cookies. I have done what the message says to do to enable the cookies, but still nothing. I have even set the the minimum privacy level, and that doesn't work either. It's kinda hard selling parts, and communicating with customers, and friends if I can't get to my emails. If any of you have sent me an email at xs11parts@hotmail.com, and I haven't replied, then that is why. Try PM'ing me if you should need to contact me.
Have any of you been having this problem also? If so, have you been able to fix it, and how did you do it?
    Thanx

    Hey John,

What OS, XP or 98SE or 2000?? What version is your Internet Explorer? Also, what antivirus are you running? Some security suites have a NEW PRIVACY portion along with Firewall and Virus protection, could be a setting in it?

TC, I have XP and what ever version of Explorer that was the newest one a year ago. The anti virus is AVG and the firewall is Sygate. SWMBO has exited all anti virus and firewalls, and still no luck. My computer was custom built a little more than a year ago, and we havn't changed any settings. I'm going to PM you with the email address, and password, and maybe you'll be able to open it up. Is that ok with you?

That happens now and then to me also John.
When I get the cookie warning page, I hit the 'Refresh' tab at the top and the sign-in page comes up.
        It's an SP2 thing.

Think TC might have helped us

Emptied the Temp files and the cookies... so far I can sign in with no problem (of course, now that I posted this... it'll probably act up again)
          Thanks TC!
